Christmas with Papaw and Mamaw~On Christmas Eve, the kiddos had lots of fun playing Sorry, snacking on yummy treats, opening gifts, and enjoying the snow.
Christmas at home~If the next 30 days go well, this will probably be our last Christmas in this house. It has been our home for 6 years. We will miss things like watching our girls come down the stairs to see what's under the tree.
Tim and I met a few challenges this year as we played Santa. We only had two things to assemble: The first was a doll stroller with wheels that would not stay on the axle. We went ahead and set it up for Christmas morning then returned it a couple of days later for a replacement. The second was a mini trampoline. Assembly started out smoothly until we got to the part in the directions that said 3 people were needed for the next step. Oops. Tim and I gave it our best shot, but decided it would be wise not to injure ourselves, put the pieces back in the box, wrap it up, and have Papaw Jim, Uncle Jordan, and Tim assemble it after brunch. They had it fixed in a matter of moments. Now Sydney and Addison can jump as long as they please and give my poor furniture a break.
After presents were opened, Grammy, Papaw, and Uncle Jordan joined us for brunch. We ate til we were stuffed then watched all 3 Toy Story movies and played games. It was the perfect end to our last Christmas in this house.
Christmas with the Swartzentrubers~We hosted Christmas this year at our church for Tim's extended family. The adults played a game of White Elephant; bringing in something from home and exchanging their "treasures." The little ones made gingerbread notebooks and taught each other cheers.
Christmas with Great Grammy and Great Papaw~On the Sunday after Christmas, we had dinner with my grandparents. The girls received fuzzy blankets and jammies which they immediately wrapped up in. Later in the day, we went to my parents' to visit and Grammy surprised the girls with Big Wheels. My sister, brother, and I loved riding our Big Wheels when we were younger. We would spend hours riding them around the garage and racing one another. Addison's legs aren't quite long enough yet but I'm sure the girls will have just as much fun.
Christmas with Grammy and Papaw~We ended our Christmas celebrations on Tuesday with Grammy, Papaw, and the rest of the bunch. The girls loved seeing cousin Elaina once again. Elaina was able to teach them some of her new gymnastics moves and funny expressions, while Sydney and Addison I'm sure taught Elaina more than her Mommy and Daddy wanted. That's what older cousins are for, right?
Whew! Christmas seems to come and go quicker and quicker each year. We are truly humbled by the number of gatherings as well as the abundant blessings received.

Great Pics!! We were admiring the big wheels - think Matt wants one now as he is missing his Night Rider Big Wheel ;) Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!
So behind...I need to get my Christmas update done too. Your tree looks beautiful. Looks like you all had a fabulous Christmas. Oh- and my girls do the same thing with their blankets like that...one of them likes the furry side and one wants it on the outside. ;)
