Family Visit

Just before school started, we had the opportunity to visit with some very special people. Our days of summer vacation were coming to an end when Aunt Victoria, Uncle Matt, and Elaina came to town. So, we planned some time together at Marengo Caves.

Addison loves her cousin Elaina very much, but she was not crazy about the cave experience. She said it was too scary.

Sydney of course fully enjoyed her time with her little cousin and the cave experience.

She spent a lot of time at the front of the pack with the "cave man," as Papaw called him. She asked him lots of questions about the cave and also told him several stories about herself.

After the cave tours, we ate at a local fav, The Dairy Barn. It was smoking HOT that day as you can see on their little cheeks.

Before Elaina and her mommy and daddy returned home, we had a meal at Great-Grammy and Papaw's house. The girls modeled their matching, custom-made shirts. We love Grammy's new sewing machine. ; )

The next weekend, we were able to visit with Uncle Jordan. BRIEFLY! He was in town for a wedding, so we really didn't see him much. We didn't tell the girls Uncle Jordan was coming to town, so when He picked Sydney up from school on Friday she was so SURPRISED!

She has always loved when her tall uncle puts her "way up high."

Before Jordan left, we had another meal with the family. Then, the girls found a wheelbarrow, and convinced Jordan to push them in it around the yard. Wish I had pictures of it. . .It was the funniest mock rickshaw I have ever seen.

Pretty sure I heard the squeals of laughter from the wheelbarrow experience! :) We were outside and I could hear Sydney laughing about something fun!
