Mid-September Recap

Wow, it has nearly been a month since I last posted! It seems I've let the busy-ness of life take over. There have been many nights that we don't get home until well past bed-time, leaving me with no time at all to spend with my family let alone blog. With all of the stress we have put ourselves through lately, we've opened the door to illness. I am suffering from a sinus infection, Addison has an ear infection, Tim's allergies are acting up, and Sydney is trying to stay tough with only a runny nose. It just seems we've been in a slump lately, and can't wait to get out of it.

To recap the past few weeks. . .

Addison is even more mobile as she very quickly learned how to crawl on her hands and knees- instead of the army crawl, she pulls up on everything, she thinks she can walk and then ends up with bumps on her poor head, and now has figured out how to climb stairs. She definitely keeps this mama on her toes. Probably yet another reason why I haven't blogged lately. ; ) Recently, we played a game of Lucky Ducks but Addison turned it into bobbing for ducks.

Sydney is back in the swing of things in pre-school; learning about apples, dinosaurs, letters, numbers, and much more. She had the opportunity a couple weeks ago to take care of a class friend; Little Bear. Little Bear spent the weekend with us-going out to eat, shopping, and more. Sydney did a good job taking responsibility for Little Bear-making sure he was buckled up in the van and tucked in snugly at bed time.

On Sept. 9th, we celebrated my Dad's ?? birthday. We went out to eat and had cake at our place. The girls love spending time with their Papaw. Sydney is especially appreciating him more and more as he LOVES to spend as much time outside messing around as she does. They can spend hours and hours outside not really accomplishing much of anything. = ) Happy Birthday Papaw, We Love You!!
