It seems time has once again slipped away as we have been so busy lately. So busy in fact, that I have to look back at the pictures taken during the week to help me remember everything. Aahh! So here goes. . .In addition to participating in VBS last week, we attended a birthday party at ChuckECheese's, visited with Grammy and Papaw (while Daddy was out of town), and went to Holiday World. Whew! In between all of that, Tim finished up his last week of tennis camp, continued to work on our master bedroom and chaperoned a weekend tennis tournament. The master bedroom project is progressing a little slower than I had hoped as we haven't been home much lately. Though yesterday, the painting of the walls was completed and we were able to pull off the tape and move some of the furniture back in place. Now I get to pick out some new things to put on the walls. Yeah!
A few notes on last week's activities. . .
Sydney really enjoyed VBS. Though each night before Bible School, she would tell us she didn't want to have to watch the puppets again (sorry Chris and Shawn). Now today when I ask her what her favorite part was, she says the puppets with a huge grin. Apparently she was just teasing us before. = ) I also know she loved singing songs and playing with her friends. Since VBS, she has been going around the house singing her own made up songs about Jesus (too cute). And you may be wondering how I managed being Tim's assistant all week. . .well it turns out that we can work together and have fun doing it. We taught 10 3rd graders and the lessons were from Answers in Genesis which focused on the 7 C's of History: Creation, Corruption (sin in the Garden of Eden), Catastrophe (the Flood), Confusion (Tower of Babel), Christ, Cross, and Consummation (fulfillment of God's promise with Christ's return).

Last Tuesday, Sydney helped her friend Lillie celebrate her 4th birthday at ChuckECheese's. It was Sydney's first time at ChuckECheese's and she had a blast.
On Monday (the hottest, most humid day of the week), we went to Holiday World with Alex, Tera and their girls. At our arrival, the humidity nearly did us in. It was very difficult to enjoy much of anything. So after letting the girls ride a few rides, we decided to eat lunch in an air-conditioned restaurant. I think that helped rejuvenate us and we were off to ride more rides. At one point, while the older girls stood in line with their dads to ride the giant eagles, it looked as if we might get rained out but the strong winds took the storm to the north of us. After the storm blew over, the heat became bearable and we were more able to enjoy the experience. Addison was even able to catch a couple of naps during the day-a big relief to mommy. We all had fun splashing around in the water park and cooling off. For the most part, Sydney is fearless when it comes to riding rides, and going down water slides. Her Daddy and I had difficulty keeping up with the little daredevil. To bring an end to our day, we ate at our favorite Mexican restaurant.
