Catching Up

Wow!! This working momma has been struggling to keep up!! Like most people I talk to, our lives are spent running from place to place. This week alone we have gone to work, meetings, doctor's appointments, tennis matches, tennis sectional, and tennis parties. In between all of that, Tim and I have managed to complete our Master's degree program, and Addison has been mastering the art of sitting up, teething, and learning to eat solid food.
A week ago we celebrated Mother's Day on a very dreary day. We attended church and ate lunch with my parents and brother and then exchanged gifts.

Addison news. She is sitting up now-something she has tried so hard to do for months.

At her last doctor visit, her ears were looking much better. Tomorrow is her 6 month check-up, let's hope they are completely clear. On Friday, we introduced solids to Addison for the first time. For weeks now, she has wanted to participate in our meals by grabbing at anything she can get her hands on. Now finally, she is sitting in a seat of her very own at the table with us and trying to figure out what to do next. She wasn't too crazy about the taste of the cereal, but who can blame her? It is gross. More than anything, I think she likes that she can get her hands on a spoon that has food on it. Let's hope the introduction of veggies and fruits will be more successful.

This past week was sectional week for Tim and the tennis team. On Saturday, they won their 20th straight sectional title. We celebrated at the home of one of the players. They have a beautifully landscaped in ground pool which happens to be heated. Sydney and the team took advantage of the awesome weather and heated pool. Sydney had her swimsuit but the rest of the team found themselves being tossed in one by one (starting with the freshman) whether they had planned on it or not. The 62 year old head coach also enjoyed the pool and showed what a big kid he is at heart by jumping off the diving board!! Sydney also showed her fearlessness by jumping of the diving board for the first time. All the girls were amazed that she even attempted it let alone that she kept doing it. Of course we were the last ones to leave as we couldn't get our daughter out of the pool.

Okay. That's quite a lot to take in for now. I'll share the rest later.

I can't believe how big Addison has gotten since I saw her last in December. She definitely looks like a Wade!

Is that Sydney swimming under the rock in the nice team picture? :)
