Happy 4th

On Saturday night, we went to the campgrounds to visit with Tim's family and enjoy supper together. The girls were excited to see their grandparents and cousins. Though, Sydney wasn't able to fully enjoy the things she loves about camping due to a foot injury. She hurt her foot on vacation last week. We are not entirely sure what happened, but it is swollen and she is in a lot of pain. X-rays show that it is not broken. We are leaning towards the possibility that she may have stepped on something at the beach and has an infection. We are treating it as such with an antibiotic.

At one point in the evening, Sydney tripped over a rug and bumped her sore foot. That sent her over the edge in pain and we ended up leaving just before the fireworks. A major disappointment for Sydney! She went on and on about how much she loves fireworks and how beautiful they are. We determined that she must be delirious when she started talking about how this would have been the first time she saw them with her sister. Sorry Syd, but you and Addison have seen fireworks before. There was actually a nice amateur display on our way home and it appeased our girls.
