We enjoyed a wonderful Easter weekend together, with lots of fun activities. The fun started for the girls last Thursday, when they participated in an egg hunt at daycare. I am told that Addison had a great time, but didn't quite grasp the concept as she would put her found eggs in her friend Brynna's bag. Such a sweetie!
On Saturday, we all colored eggs at Grammy's. Uncle Jordan had made a special trip home from Florida to celebrate with us. The girls got a little carried away with the dye and ended up putting on paint shirts (Jordan's old t-shirts) to protect their clothing. Grammy's counter top suffered the most damage and needed a little extra scrubbing when we were finished. After a couple of pics with the finished eggs, Uncle Jordan had to show off his juggling skills. Addison of course took a cue from her uncle and decided to toss a few eggs of her own. She got a kick out of hearing them crack.
On Sunday morning, we had baskets of goodies for the girls, and captured a few pics. Then, it was on to church where Pastor Shawn gave a great sermon on the Resurrection and the future coming of Jesus. What an awesome day that will be!
After church we went to my grandparents for lunch and an egg hunt. Sydney and Addison were out matched in the egg hunt as the other hunters were all big boys. Thankfully, Uncle Jordan was there once again to help them out and fend off the competition. Our day ended with a third and final egg hunt back at Grammy's. On the way home, the girls were loaded with lots of sugar and decided it would be funny to color Addison's face. What a blessed weekend spent with loved ones!
