4th of July Weekend

This weekend we spent the 4th of July with Tim's family at a nearby campground. They (his family) have started a tradition of camping over the 4th. Tim and I used to join them for the entire weekend, but since having little ones and not having a camper of our own we have gone to just visiting the campsite for the day. Though even a day with a baby and no place to call our own, can be challenging. Sydney on the other hand absolutely loves camping!! She seems to always have her eye out for campers that we pass along the road that are for sale, and insists that we buy them so she can go camping all of the time. Tim and I are not opposed to the idea of buying a camper, but there are some other things we would like to do first; like building a house. So hopefully, we can one day fulfill Sydney's dream of being a camper. ; ) Until then, she very much enjoys staying with her Mamaw and Papaw and playing with her best friends Trista and Braylee. Due to the recent flooding, we were unable to enjoy our usual activities of boating and playing on the beach. Though Sydney and her friends, had a great time riding bikes, playing at the playground, and playing in the campers. Daddy gave Addison her first bike ride, too.

On Saturday, we attended the 40th Graber Reunion (my side). We had a nice time catching up with relatives, eating great food, and playing the games provided for the little ones. Sydney became a pro at climbing the inflatable slide, while Addison watched from the sidelines and wished she could play too. ; ) Addison also met a distant relative who shares her birthday. His name is Joel and his birth weight is the same as Addison's (7lbs. 2 oz.). Joel was also born on his mommy's birthday. How neat! Before leaving, we had a photo op on a tractor that belonged to my great-grandfather. Kinda cool.
